Yearly Manufactured Home Maintenance Checklist

Maintenance on manufactured homes may seem like a lot, but site-built homes require even more cleaning and maintenance to keep looking nice. It's worth doing maintenance every year to prevent big repairs and costs.
Yearly maintenance is the best way to keep the value of the home high and to build equity for the future. Maintenance isn’t enjoyable or exciting, but it is an important responsibility as an owner or renter of a manufactured home.
Most of the areas to check, only need to be done once or twice a year. Maintenance can take a little time each year, but can go a long way toward preserving the comfort and quality of your home for years to come. The lack of maintenance on your home can build up and result in frustrating, expensive issues down the road.
The Maintenance Checklist consists of these 8 areas:
1. Foundation: make sure the home structure is solid and level
2. Skirting: Look for holes and avoid excess moisture
3. Roof: Check for damage, reseal or recoat
4. Gutters: Clean them out regularly (if you have them)
5.Siding: Clean it, don't ignore it
6.Window and vent caulking: Review, reseal, repeat
7.Heating and HVAC Systems: Change filter monthly or clean frequently
8. Smart Cleaning Indoors: Use gentle products or solutions
